Removal (SOHC)

  1. Remove cylinder head. See CYLINDER HEAD. Remove rocker arms and shafts. See appropriate ROCKER ARMS & VALVE LASH ADJUSTERS.
  2. Use .35" (9 mm) rod to lock camshaft. See Fig 1 . Remove camshaft sprocket. Remove camshaft from rear of head. Remove oil seal.
