Section 4 (1.3L 4-CYL - VINS [3,5] & 1.6L 4-CYL - VIN [0]): Overhaul: Crankshaft

  1. Remove engine. Remove front case. Remove timing belt, sprockets, pulley and tensioner. Remove flywheel and oil pan. Remove rear main oil seal housing. Remove connecting rod caps. Remove main bearing caps. Remove crankshaft.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate bearings before installing. Tighten bolts to specification in 3 steps. Tighten main bearing caps in order of center, No. 2, No. 4, front and rear main caps.
