Removal (Fuel Injected)

  1. Release fuel pressure as previously described. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove air intake hoses and air breather hoses.
    CAUTION: Release fuel pressure before removing fuel line.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly. Disconnect all electrical connections from intake manifold, injectors and throttle body. Disconnect vacuum hoses from intake manifold.
  3. Disconnect coolant hoses from manifold and remove upper radiator hose. Remove fuel supply and return lines from delivery pipe. Disconnect all control cables.
  4. Remove lower intake manifold-to-cylinder head bolts. Remove lower intake manifold and gasket. Remaining components can be removed from intake manifold if required.
