Fig. 2 Axle attachment parts removal:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Support axle and remove U-bolt nuts, Fig. 2.
3. Remove shackle nuts and front pivot nut.
4. Remove front leaf spring pivot bolt and disengage leaf spring from shackle pin.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Lubricate leaf spring bushings with silicone grease. Tighten U-bolt nuts so equal amounts of threaded area are exposed.
