Removal (Samurai & Sidekick)

Remove cylinder head. See appropriate CYLINDER HEAD section. Remove distributor and distributor case. Loosen all valve adjustment lock nuts and valve adjusting screws. Remove 10 rocker arm shaft retaining screws. Slide rocker arm shaft(s) out of head assembly. Remove rocker arms and springs.

NOTE: On Samurai and Sidekick, cylinder head removal is necessary to obtain enough clearance for rocker arm shaft and camshaft removal.
