Disc Brake Rotor & Hub: Removal
- With vehicle supported with jack stands and wheel removed, remove caliper mounting bolts and caliper. Hang caliper from frame with wire.
- Remove cotter pin, castle nut and washer from end of drive axle. Measure distance between outside rotor face and outside edge of caliper mounting bracket. See Fig 1. Record dimension "A" for reassembly.
- Using Slide Hammer (J 2619 01) and Wheel Hub Remover (J 34866), remove wheel hub and rotor as an assembly. Remove rotor retaining bolts from hub and separate hub from rotor. See Fig 2.
