Parking Brake

  1. Pull parking brake lever fully up and count number of notches lever travels. Adjustment is okay if lever clicks between 7-9 notches on Spectrum and 5-8 notches on Sprint. If not okay, first check for air in lines, worn rear shoes or seized rear self-adjusters.
  2. To adjust parking brake, loosen cable adjusting nuts at hand lever and adjust each cable an equal amount until properly adjusted. After adjustment, check for brake drag with parking brake off.
