Selector Valve Harness Test

  1. Remove harness connector from fuel selector valve and connect a good selector valve. With ignition switch "ON", depress selector valve switch and note gauge reading in both Right-Hand and Left-Hand fuel tanks.
  2. If a change is indicated between tanks, system is operating properly. Replace selector valve. If no change is indicated, repair open circuits in harness between selector valve and firewall connector. If fuel gauge operates, but not accurately check fuel gauge.
