Fuel Selector Valves: Description

Fuel tank selector valves are used in conjunction with auxiliary fuel tanks on General Motors "C" and "K" models.

System consist of a main and auxiliary fuel tank, a selector valve to route fuel from desired tank through fuel pump, a selector switch to choose tanks, necessary fuel lines, and electrical wiring.

The system used in Ford vehicles equipped with 7.5L engines consists of a fuel selector valve, fuel pump cut-off relay, tank selector relay, inertia switch, selector switch and an in tank electric fuel pump.
