V8 Models (All 1972)
- With engine running, disconnect electrical wiring at end of idle stop solenoid. With solenoid de-energized, adjust low speed idle screw to low step of cam to obtain 450 RPM (Rochester carburetor) or 500 RPM (Holley carburetor).
- Set dwell and timing, recheck low idle speed. Reconnect electrical wiring to solenoid. Open throttle momentarily and adjust solenoid plunger screw to achieve specified curb idle speed.
