Component Testing

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: S126 Drive Mode Select Switch
  3. Connect a jumper wire between the test points: Component terminal 6 & B+
  4. Momentarily connect a 3 A fused jumper wire between the test points: Component terminal 7 & Ground

    Verify the component turns On and Off when connecting and disconnecting the jumper wire: S126 Drive Mode Select Switch - Transfer Case Neutral Range Indicator

    • If the component does not turn On and Off 

      Replace the component: S126 Drive Mode Select Switch

    • Go to next step: If the component turns On and Off 
  5. Component Assembly: OK
