Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify there are no other DTCs set, except for DTC P1899 or P189A.
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
  3. Clear All Vehicle DTCs
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
  5. Verify DTC P1899 or P189A is not set.
    • If the DTC sets 
    1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
    2. Replace the component: K69 Transfer Case Control Module
    3. Clear All Vehicle DTCs
    4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
    5. Verify DTC P1899 or P189A is not set.
      • If the DTC sets - Replace the component: K20 Engine Control Module
      • Go to next step: If no DTC is set

        Go to next step: All OK.

    • Go to next step: If no DTC is set 
  6. All OK.
