Diagnostic Aids

NOTE:

If the Transfer Case Range Actuator position learn is unsuccessful in the service bay refer to steps 1 and 2 below.

  1. If the Range Actuator Position Sensor learn was unsuccessful with Device Limits Exceeded and a Learn failed due to electrical failure or intermittent connections message displayed. Inspect the electrical connector at the A16 Transfer Case Motor, if there are no concerns, cycle the connector and attempt the learn procedure again.
  2. If the Range Actuator Position Sensor learn was unsuccessful with Device Limits Exceeded and a Learn failed due to range actuator or transfer case mechanical issue message displayed. The rear driveshaft may need to be rotated to change the alignment of the input gear teeth and attempt the learn again.
