Removal Procedure

  1. Start vehicle and shift the transfer case to 2WD/2High.
  2. Turn the vehicle off.
  3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without K4B)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with K4B)
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Disconnect the transfer case two/four wheel drive actuator position sensor electrical connector (2).

    Transfer Case Two/Four Wheel Drive Actuator Sensor Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  7. Transfer Case Two/Four Wheel Drive Actuator Position Sensor (2) - Remove
  8. Transfer Case Two/Four Wheel Drive Actuator Position Sensor Gasket (3) - Remove and DISCARD
  9. Clean the mating surface as necessary.
