Component Testing

Ignition / Vehicle - Off
Disconnect the electrical connector: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
Test for 575 to 700 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Signal terminal 3
- If not between 575 and 700 ohms
  Replace the component: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
- Go to next step: If between 575 and 700 ohms
Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Signal terminal 2
- If less than infinite resistance - Replace the component: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
Press and hold the switch: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
Test for 575 to 700 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 2
- If not between 575 and 700 ohms
  Replace the component: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
- Go to next step: If between 575 and 700 ohms
Disconnect the electrical connector: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
Test for 5300 to 5600 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 2 & Ground terminal 1
- If not between 5300 and 5600 ohms
  Replace the component: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
- Go to next step: If between 5300 and 5600 ohms
Press and hold the switch: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
Test for 1200 to 1500 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 2 & Ground terminal 1
- If not between 1200 and 1500 ohms
  Replace the component: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
- Go to next step: If between 1200 and 1500 ohms
All OK.
