Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Drain the transmission fluid. Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill
- Disconnect the control valve body transmission control module electrical connector (1), then unclip the wiring harness from the cover.

- Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe (3) @ Transmission - Disconnect - Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (With V08)Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (Without V08)
- Remove the body ground cable and wiring harness assembly mounting bolt at front of transmission and position ground cable and harness out of the way.
- Remove the 6 control valve body cover studs (1) and 6 control valve body cover bolts (2).
- Remove the control valve body cover (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the body side wiring harness opening seal (3).
- Clean the transmission case and control valve body cover gasket surfaces. Inspect and replace the gasket (4) as necessary.
