Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Operate the component: S3 Transmission Shift Lever = M
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode = Active
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Press and hold the switch: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch = Up or Upshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  5. Press and hold the switch: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode = Down or Downshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  6. Press and hold the switch: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch @ K71 Transmission Control Module = Up or Upshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  7. Press and hold the switch: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch = Down or Downshift

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  9. All OK.
