Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Operate the component: S3 Transmission Shift Lever = M
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode = Active
- If not the specified state
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Press and hold the switch: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch = Up or Upshift
- If not the specified state
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Press and hold the switch: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode = Down or Downshift
- If not the specified state
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Press and hold the switch: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch @ K71 Transmission Control Module = Up or Upshift
- If not the specified state

- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Press and hold the switch: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
Verify the scan tool parameter: Up and Down Shift Switch = Down or Downshift
- If not the specified state

- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- If the DTC sets
