Removal Procedure

  1. GM5162610

    Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Left Side (1) - Remove - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side

    Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Right Side (3) - Remove - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Right Side

    Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Panel (2) - Remove - Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Panel Replacement

    Use a suitable tool to release the front floor console bolt access hole cover (1) from the extension panel.

  5. Front Floor Console Bolt (2) - Remove [ 4x ]

    Use a suitable tool to release the front floor console bolt access hole cover (1) from the extension panel.

  7. Front Floor Console Bolt (2) - Remove [ 4x ]

    Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  9. Slide the front floor console (1) back to clear the pin of the stowage tray and console holder from the instrument panel assembly.
  10. With the aid of an assistant, lift and remove the front floor console assembly (1) from the vehicle.

  12. Front Floor Console Bolt (2) - Remove [ 2x ]

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Pull down the hood primary latch release cable handle. (1)

    Use a plastic trim tool if necessary.

  34. Disconnect all electrical connectors.

    Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.

  52. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel carrier assembly from the vehicle. (1)
