Installation Procedure

  1. GM4297660

    With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument carrier in the vehicle. (1)

  2. Reposition the instrument panel wiring harness into the vehicle position as was noted in the removal and connect the fasteners securing the instrument panel wiring harness to the instrument carrier.

    Radio Cooling Duct Bolt (1) - Install - Radio Cooling Duct Replacement (Front Console Phone Charger Front) , or Radio Cooling Duct Replacement (Console Phone Charger Rear)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Carrier Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 5x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Instrument Panel Carrier Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Instrument Panel Carrier Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 8x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 6x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Radio Control Assembly (2) - Install - Radio Control Assembly Replacement

    Heater and Air Conditioning User Interface Control (1) - Install - Heater and Air Conditioning User Interface Control Replacement

    Instrument Panel Airbag Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 3x ] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  14. Connect the electrical connector.

    Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 11x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    {If equipped} Radio Front Speaker (2) - Install - Radio Front Speaker Replacement

    Connect all electrical connectors.

    Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 3x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [ 3x ] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

  24. Connect the data link connector. (2)
  25. Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Stowage Tray (1) - Install

  39. Connect the electrical connectors.

    Front Floor Console Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  41. Front Floor Console Storage Tray Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    With the aid of an assistant, install the front floor console assembly (1) into the vehicle.

  43. Carefully guide the floor console holder end into the instrument panel assembly and line up the pin on the stowage tray.
  44. Connect the electrical connectors.

    Front Floor Console Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [ 4x ] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  46. Front Floor Console Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Install

    Front Floor Console Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [ 4x ] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  48. Front Floor Console Bolt Access Hole Cover (1) - Install
