Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement: Notes

Removal Procedure

   Release the 3 top retainers (1), pull up on the intake air splash shield (2) to access the hood primary latch release cable.

   Disconnect the cable end retainer (1) from the latch.

3. Release the hood primary latch release cable from the retainer (2).

   Disconnect the cable (2) from the 2 retainers (1) from under the upper tie bar.

   Remove the battery (1) to gain access to the hood primary latch release cable retainer. Battery Replacement

   Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable (1) from the retainer (2) under the battery.

   Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable end retainer (1) from the inside handle.

   Remove the radiator surge tank (1) to gain access the hood primary latch release cable grommet. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement

   Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable grommet (1) from the dash panel.

10. Attach mechanics wire to the hood primary latch release cable (2) and pull the cable out.
