Installation Procedure

    Maneuver the brake pressure modulator valve brake pipe (3) into the vehicle

    2. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  2. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
  3. Retainer (1) - Secure

    Remove the plugs from the brake pressure modulator valve pipe fittings.

  5. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Brake Pipe Fitting (3) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
  6. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
  7. Retainer (1) - Secure [ 2x ]

    Remove the plugs from the master cylinder outlet ports.

  9. Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Install and tighten [ 4x ] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  10. Install the powertrain. Engine Replacement

    Connect the electrical connector. (1)

  12. Connect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
  13. Plenum Front Panel - Install - Plenum Front Panel Replacement
  14. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  15. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JL9) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J56)
