Removal Procedure
- Prepare the electronic brake control module for removal with Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Plenum Front Panel - Remove - Plenum Front Panel Replacement
- Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
Disconnect the electrical connector: (1)
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Remove - Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side
Compress the brake pedal retainer (1) locking tabs.
- NOTE:
Pull the brake pedal rearward to disconnect the retainer.
Brake Pedal (1) - Disconnect
Brake Pedal Retainer (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- NOTE:
Label the brake pipes to ensure they are re-installed in the correct ports of the brake master cylinder.
- Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Disconnect [ 4x ] - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pipe Replacement
- Plug the brake master cylinder ports and the brake pipes to stop fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Remove [ 2x ]
Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Remove
- Transfer components as necessary.
