Installation Procedure
Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
Remove the plugs from the brake master cylinder ports and the brake pipes.
- Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Install and tighten [ 4x ] - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pipe Replacement
Brake Pedal Retainer (1) - Install NEW
Brake Pedal (1) - Connect
- Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal (1) the retainer is attached securely to the brake push rod.
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Install - Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side
Connect the electrical connector. (1)
- Connect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Plenum Front Panel - Install - Plenum Front Panel Replacement
- Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure: Control Module References
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JL9) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J56)
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
- Check the brake system for leaks.
