- If DTC P10A3, P10A4, P10A5, P10A6, P10A7, P10A8, P10A9, P10AA, P10AB, P10AC is set and no other DTCs are set
- Replace the appropriate component: - Q17 Fuel Injector
- Go to next step: If other DTCs are set - DTCs listed in the DTC Descriptor Category
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the appropriate component: Q17 Fuel Injector
- Test for 2.0 to 3.0 Ω between the test points: Control circuit terminal 2 & Ground circuit terminal 1
- If not between 2.0 and 3.0 Ω
Replace the component: Q17 Fuel Injector
- Go to next step: If between 2.0 and 3.0 Ω
- If not between 2.0 and 3.0 Ω
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X4 @ K20 Engine Control Module
- Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: Control circuit terminal 1 @ Component harness &
- { Q17A Fuel Injector 1 } Terminal 52 @ Control module harness
- { Q17B Fuel Injector 2 } Terminal 51 @ Control module harness
- { Q17C Fuel Injector 3 } Terminal 50 @ Control module harness
- { Q17D Fuel Injector 4 } Terminal 49 @ Control module harness
- { Q17E Fuel Injector 5 } Terminal 48 @ Control module harness
- { Q17F Fuel Injector 6 } Terminal 47 @ Control module harness
- If 2 Ω or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
- Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: Control circuit terminal 2 @ Component harness &
- { Q17A Fuel Injector 1 } Terminal 72 @ Control module harness
- { Q17B Fuel Injector 2 } Terminal 71 @ Control module harness
- { Q17C Fuel Injector 3 } Terminal 70 @ Control module harness
- { Q17D Fuel Injector 4 } Terminal 69 @ Control module harness
- { Q17E Fuel Injector 5 } Terminal 68 @ Control module harness
- { Q17F Fuel Injector 6 } Terminal 67 @ Control module harness
- If 2 Ω or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
- Replace the appropriate component: = Q17 Fuel Injector
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component: K20 Engine Control Module
- Go to next step: If no DTC is set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
NOTE:
The specified resistances are valid for components at room temperature.
