Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    NOTE:

    As little as 2 Ω of resistance in a circuit may cause a DTC to set.

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: G18 Fuel Pump - High Pressure
    3. NOTE:

    The specified resistances are valid for components at room temperature.

  4. Test for 9 to 13 Ω between the test points: Control terminal 1 & Control terminal 2
    • If not between 9 and 13 Ω 

      Replace the component: G18 Fuel Pump - High Pressure

    • Go to next step: If between 9 and 13 Ω 
  5. Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Each terminal of the component & The component's housing
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the component: G18 Fuel Pump - High Pressure

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  6. All OK.
