Circuit/System Testing

Ignition/Vehicle - Off
Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- Q17 Fuel Injector - Leaking/Restricted
- Camshaft Position Actuator - Binding or Sticking/Stuck
- Direct Fuel Injection Fuel Rail - Leaking/Restricted
- Fuel - Contaminated/Poor Quality
- Fuel Feed Pipe - Leaking/Restricted
- Fuel Pressure Regulator - Binding or Sticking/Stuck
- If a condition exists
  Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
Remove the component: G18 Fuel Pump - High Pressure
Inspect the component for wear or damage: Camshaft Lobe (s)
- If worn
  Replace the component: Camshaft
- Go to next step: If not worn
Test or replace the component: G18 Fuel Pump - High Pressure
