Installation Procedure

- NOTE:
Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
NOTE:DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.
Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant around the perimeter of the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the positive crankcase ventilation tube seal area on the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- NOTE:
Do NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.
Install the EN-51766 tool onto the rear of the crankshaft flange.
- Install the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) to the engine block.
- Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts (2) and hand tighten.
- Remove the EN-51766 tool from the crankshaft flange.
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt - Tighten in sequence [ 7x ] 10 N.m (89 lb/in)
Install and tighten the oil pan bolts (1). 15 N.m (11 lb-ft)
