Installation Procedure

Apply a thin layer of clean engine oil to the inside of the hub of the crankshaft balancer (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Crankshaft Balancer (1) - Loosely install
Install the EN-41478 - A Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (1) and the EN-41665 - A Crankshaft Balancer and Sprocket Installer (2) to the crankshaft balancer (3).
- Use the adjustment nut on the EN-41478 - A Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (1) to properly seat the crankshaft balancer (3).
- Once the crankshaft balancer has been properly seated remove the EN-41478 - A Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (1) and the EN-41665 - A Crankshaft Balancer and Sprocket Installer (2).
- Apply a thin layer of clean engine oil on the back side of the flange of the used crankshaft balancer bolt.
Assemble and install the EN-52287 Balancer Holding Tool and EN-956-1 Extension (1) to the crankshaft balancer.
- Install the old crankshaft balancer bolt (2) and tighten to 330 N.m (244 lb-ft) to fully seat the balancer.
- Remove the old crankshaft balancer bolt (2).
- Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the back side of the NEW crankshaft balancer bolt.
- Crankshaft Balancer Bolt (2) - Install NEW and tighten
- First Pass: 80 N.m (59 lb-ft)
- Final Pass: 120 degrees
Accessory Drive Primary Belt (1) - Install - Accessory Drive Primary Belt Replacement
Engine Coolant Fan (1) - Install - Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LSY) , or Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LGY)
