Removal Procedure

  1. Transmission - Remove - Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive)

    CAUTION:

    Before removing the automatic transmission case extension, place the transmission in a vertical position with the case extension facing up. Failure to do so may result in damage to the transmission output shaft bearing and/or sleeve.

    Automatic Transmission Case Extension Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]

  3. Allow any remaining transmission fluid to drain from the case extension.
  4. Automatic Transmission Case Extension (2) - Remove
  5. Automatic Transmission Case Extension Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD
