Inspection Procedure

- Inspect the engine block lower structural extension for the following conditions:
- Damage to the engine block lower structural extension upper mounting holes (1)
- Damage to the engine block lower structural extension sealing surface. (2)
- Damage to the mounting bosses (3)
- Gouges or damage to the engine block lower structural extension to transmission sealing surfaces (4)
- Damage to the positive crankcase ventilation tube. (5)
- Damage to the engine block lower structural extension lower mounting holes (6)
- Damage to the oil pan matting surface. (7)
- Damage to the balancer shaft bearing surfaces. (8)
- Damage to the engine oil cooler seal area. (9)
- Damage to the oil filter indicator tube surface. (10)
- Repair or replace the engine block lower structural extension as necessary.
