Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Remove the oil fill cap.

  3. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
  4. Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  5. Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove

  6. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (4) - Disconnect

  7. Retainer (1) - Unclip [2x]

  8. Disconnect the electrical connector.[2x]
  9. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
  10. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid (2) - Remove [2x]
  11. Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Gasket (3) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  12. Engine Wiring Harness - Reposition

  13. Timing Chain Upper Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [9x]
  14. Timing Chain Upper Cover Bolt (2) - Remove
  15. Timing Chain Upper Cover (3) - Remove
  16. Timing Belt Front Upper Cover Seal (4) - Remove and DISCARD
  17. Engine Front Cover Locating Pin (5) - Remove [2x]
