Installation Procedure

  1. Clean all sealing surfaces.

    Engine Front Cover Locating Pin (1) - Install [2x]

  3. Timing Belt Front Upper Cover Seal (2) - Install NEW
  4. Apply a dollop of RTV on the T-joint of the camshaft carrier and cylinder head. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  5. Timing Chain Upper Cover (3) - Install
    6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  6. Timing Chain Upper Cover Bolt (4) - Install and tighten in sequence [9x] - Fastener Specifications
  7. Timing Chain Upper Cover Bolt (5) - Install and tighten in sequence - Fastener Specifications

    Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Gasket (3) - Install NEW [2x]

  9. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid (2) - Install [2x]
  10. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  11. Electrical Connector - Connect [2x]

    Retainer (1) - Install [2x]

    Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (4) - Connect

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  16. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] -Fastener Specifications
  17. Install the oil fill cap.
  18. Connect the battery. - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
