Installation Procedure
Engine Mount (1) - Install
- NOTE:
Do NOT tighten all of the way.
Engine Mount Bolt (2) - Install NEW [2x]
- Lower screw jack until the engine sits on the mount.
Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Mount (2) - Connect
- Remove screw jack and the block of wood under the transmission bell housing
- Oil Filter - Install
Transmission Fluid Cooler Thermal Bypass Valve Gasket (1) - Install NEW [2x]
Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Seal (1) - Install NEW [2x]
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Seal (2) - Install NEW
Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) - Install
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten
Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Clip Bolt (3) - Install and tighten
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bolt (2) - Install and tighten
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Connector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x]
- Lower the vehicle.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
CAUTION:Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .
Engine Mount Bolt (2) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Engine Mount Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Turbocharger Heat Shield (1) - Install
Turbocharger Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Turbocharger Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- NOTE:
A special anti-seize compound is used on the heated oxygen sensor threads. The compound consists of liquid graphite and glass beads. The graphite will burn away, but the glass beads will remain, making the sensor easier to remove. New or service sensors will have the compound already applied to the threads. IF a sensor is removed and is to be reinstalled, the threads MUST have an anti-seize compound applied before installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Using the EN-6179 Heated Oxygen Sensor Remover/Installer, install the heated oxygen sensor (1). Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Check the transmission fluid level. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
