Installation Procedure

    Engine Mount (1) - Install

    NOTE:

    Do NOT tighten all of the way.

    Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Install NEW [2x]

  3. Lower screw jack until the engine sits on mount.
  4. Remove jack and block of wood from under engine.

    Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

  6. Lower the vehicle.

    Engine Mount Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  8. Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

  10. Engine Wiring Harness (2) - Move into position
  11. Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

    Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Inlet Hose (2) - Move into position

  13. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x]

    Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Outlet Hose (2) - Move into position

  15. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x]

    {If equipped} Front Crossmember Brace (2) - Install

  17. {If equipped} Front Crossmember Brace Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Radiator Inlet Hose (3) - Move into position

  19. Radiator Inlet Hose Clip (2) @ Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket - Install
  20. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Radiator - Engage [1x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Front Compartment Air Deflector (2) - Install

  22. Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  24. Push Pin (2) - Install [2x]
  25. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  27. Push Pin (2) - Install [2x]
  28. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

  30. Push Pin (2) - Install [2x]
  31. Lower the vehicle.

    Oil Level Indicator Tube (2) - Install

  33. Oil Level Indicator Tube Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition

  35. Engine Wiring Harness Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Ensure the intake manifold cover insulator retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

    Intake Manifold Cover Insulator (1) - Install

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  38. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716)
  39. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  40. Check the cooling system for leaks.
