Installation Procedure

    Engine Mount (1) - Install

  2. Lower the engine.

    Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Front Crossmember Brace (3) - Install

    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Front Crossmember Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  6. Front Crossmember Brace Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Push Pin (1) @ Front Wheelhouse Liner (2) - Install

    {If equipped} Front Crossmember Brace (2) - Install

  9. {If equipped} Front Crossmember Brace Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Compartment Air Deflector - (1) Install

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  13. Push Pin (2) - Install and tighten
  14. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  16. Push Pin (2) - Install
  17. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

  19. Push Pin (2) - Install [2x]
  20. Lower the vehicle.

    Engine Mount Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    22. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  22. Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  23. Remove the engine support fixture. Engine Support Fixture

    Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Outlet Hose (2) - Install

  25. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Heat Exchanger Outlet Hose (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Outlet Hose - Install

  27. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Radiator Inlet Hose (3) - Install

  29. Radiator Inlet Hose Clip (2) @ Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket - Install
  30. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Crankcase Vent Passage Seal (4) - Install NEW

    Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Retainer (1) - Install

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body (3) - Install

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump (2) - Install

  44. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition

  46. Retainer (3) - Install [4x]
  47. Electrical Connector (2) - Connect [2x]
  48. Engine Wiring Harness Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Throttle Body Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (3) - Reposition

  51. Retainer (2) - Install [3x]
  52. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) - Connect

    Evaporative Emission Pipe (2) - Connect

  54. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) - Connect

    NOTE:

    Ensure the intake manifold cover insulator retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

    Intake Manifold Cover Insulator (1) - Install

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  59. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  60. Install the oil fill cap.
  61. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716)
  62. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  63. Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
  64. Check the cooling system for leaks.
  65. Perform the intake system learned values reset. Intake System Learned Values Reset
  66. Perform the throttle body idle air flow compensation reset. Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation Reset
