Removal Procedure

Remove the transmission. Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive)

Install the EN-52476 Flywheel Holding Tool (1) through the starter mounting hole.

Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [8x]
Automatic Transmission Flex Plate (2) - Remove

Crankshaft Position Sensor Reluctor Ring (1) - Remove
Flywheel Locating Pin (2) - Remove

Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove
Crankshaft Position Sensor (2) - Remove

Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (1) - Remove [14x]
Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing (2) - Remove and DISCARD
Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Locating Pin (3) - Remove [2x]
Clean out the crankshaft rear oil seal housing pin bores with low VOC brake clean and dry with shop air.

Compress the balancer chain tensioner (1).
EN-52593 Locking Pin Tool (2) - Install
