Installation Procedure

    Maneuver the rear brake front pipe (1) back into the vehicle.

  2. Secure the front brake pipe to the 3 retainers (2).
  3. Remove the cap from the front brake pipe outlet.
  4. Remove the plug from the front brake pipe union.

    Secure the rear brake front pipe to the retainer (1).

  6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Front Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  8. Remove the cap from the front brake pipe outlet.
  9. Remove the plug from the front brake hose.

    Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    • Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.
    • Left side shown, right side similar.

    Engine Front Splash Shield- Right Side (2) - Install

  12. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer- Right Side (3) - Install [2x]
  13. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Wiring Harness Bracket (3) - Install

  15. Engine Wiring Harness Conduit Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  16. Engine Wiring Harness Conduit Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Wiring Harness (2) - Reposition

  18. Retainer (1) - Install [5x]

    Heater Outlet Hose Retainer (1) - Engage

    Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install

    Clip (2) @ Front Wheelhouse Panel Extension - Install

    Heater Outlet Hose (4) @ Radiator Surge Tank - Install

  27. Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (3) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  28. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (2) @ Radiator Surge Tank - Install

    Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace (3) - Install

  31. Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  32. Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Plenum Front Panel (1) - Install

    Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.

  35. Plenum Front Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  36. Plenum Front Panel Nut (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.

  38. Plenum Front Panel Nut (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  39. Plenum Front Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  40. Connect the electrical connectors.

    Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector Retainer (1) - Install [2x]

    Install the windshield wiper system module (2) in the vehicle.

  44. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  45. Connect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

    Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install

  48. Install the air inlet grille panel (2) between both hood hinges.
  49. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.

    Install the front compartment side sight shields (2) to both sides.

    Install the hood rear outer air inlet seals (2) to both sides.

    Install the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).

  56. Remove the masking tape from the body around the top edges of the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).
  57. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

    Clean the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms (3).

  59. Position the windshield wiper arms (3) on the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.
  60. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  61. Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install [2x]
  62. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  63. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JE5) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J55) 
  64. Check for brake system leaks.
  65. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  66. Remove the support and lower the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.

  68. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
  69. Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
  70. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
  71. Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
  72. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716)
  73. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
