Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the cap from the front brake pipe outlet.
  2. Remove the plug from the brake pipe union inlet.

    Maneuver the front brake pipe (2) into the vehicle.

  4. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  5. Secure the front brake front pipe to the 2 retainers (3).

    Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod.

  9. Engage the brake pedal (2) to the brake pedal retainer (1) by pushing inwards.
  10. Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal (2) and the retainer is attached securely to the brake master cylinder push rod.
  11. Connect the front floor courtesy lamp electrical connector.

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator (1) - Install

    Install the tabs into the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator (1).

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Retainer (1) - Install

  15. Instrument Panel Insulator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  16. Instrument Panel Insulator Nut (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Attach the hood primary latch release cable end retainer to the hood primary latch release cable handle (1).

  18. Remove the caps from the 4 brake front pipe inlets.

    Front Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 

  20. Rear Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake System Control Module - Connect

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake Fluid Level Sensor - Connect

    Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace (2) - Install

  24. Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  25. Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Plenum Front Panel (1) - Install

    Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.

  28. Plenum Front Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  29. Plenum Front Panel Nut (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.

  31. Plenum Front Panel Nut (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  32. Plenum Front Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  33. Connect the electrical connectors.

    Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector Retainer (1) - Install [2x]

    Install the windshield wiper system module (2) in the vehicle.

  37. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  38. Connect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

    Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install

  41. Install the air inlet grille panel (2) between both hood hinges.
  42. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.

    Install the front compartment side sight shields (2) to both sides.

    Install the hood rear outer air inlet seals (2) to both sides.

    Install the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).

  49. Remove the masking tape from the body around the top edges of the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).
  50. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

  52. Clean the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms (3).
  53. Position the windshield wiper arms (3) on the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.
  54. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  55. Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install [2x]
  56. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  57. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JE5) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J55) 
  58. Check for brake system leaks.

    If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.

  60. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
  61. Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
  62. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
  63. Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
