Installation Procedure

    Hood Hinge (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Hood Hinge Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Active Hood Hinge Actuator (2) - Install

  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Active Hood Hinge Actuator Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    With the aid of an assistant, install the hood (2).

  7. Hood Hinge Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications 
  8. Adjust if necessary. - Hood Adjustment

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install

  10. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.
  11. Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Install [6x]

    Front Compartment Side Sight Shield (2) - Install

  13. Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Retainer (1) - Install [2x]

    NOTE:

    Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  15. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    NOTE:

    Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

  17. Remove the masking tape from the top edge of the service parts.
  18. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Clean the left side and right side windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms (3).

  20. Windshield Wiper Arm - Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install [2x]
  21. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 
  22. Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.

  24. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
  25. Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
  26. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
  27. Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
