Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
Rear Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Rear Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Remove
Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (2) - Remove [8x]
- Rear Bumper Fascia Screw (4) - Remove [2x]
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (1) - Remove
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner (5) - Remove
Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt (1) - Remove
Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt (1) - Remove
- Lift the fuel tank filler pipe up and out to disengage tab from vehicle.
- Reposition the fuel tank filler pipe rearward and rotate outward from under the body side outer panel to remove from fuel tank filler pipe housing.
- Release the retainers at the fuel tank filler pipe housing.
- Lower the vehicle.
Using light outward sliding pressure on the filler door (1), release the retainer on the fuel tank filler door from the hinge.
Rotate fuel tank filler pipe housing (1) to remove from body side outer panel
NOTE:
The fuel tank filler pipe housing and fuel tank filler pipe must be loose to rotate housing to remove from vehicle.
