Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]

  4. Front Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Remove [2x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]

    Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove [4x]

  8. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [10x]
  9. Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Remove [2x]

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [14x]

  11. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Remove [8x]
  12. Front Wheelhouse Liner (3) - Remove [2x]

    Remove the left side upper front bumper fascia bolt (2).

    Remove the right side upper front bumper fascia bolt (2).

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [6x]

  16. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (2) - Remove [5x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]

    On the left side of the front bumper fascia carefully push a small nylon wedge between the front bumper fascia (1), the front bumper fascia guide (2), and the front headlamp (3). Insert a suitable flat-bladed plastic trim tool into the fascia slot and depress the snaps one at a time and pull on the fascia at the same time to gradually remove the left side of the front bumper fascia.

    Reposition the front bumper fascia on the right side to gain access to the electrical connector (1).

    On the left side of the front bumper fascia carefully push a small nylon wedge between the front bumper fascia (1), the front bumper fascia guide (2), and the front headlamp (3).     With the aid of an assistant, remove the fascia (1)

    Headlamp Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

    Headlamp Bolt (1) - Remove

  26. Release the wiring harness retaining tab.

    Release the front headlamp guide pin from the front bumper fascia guide (1).

  28. Remove the left and right side headlamps (2).
  29. Disconnect all electrical connectors.

    Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer - Right Side (1) - Remove [3x]

    Charge Air Cooler Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  36. Charge Air Cooler Upper Bracket Nut (2) - Loosen
  37. Reposition the engine auxiliary radiator assembly.

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  47. Pull the front bumper fascia center support (2) out from under both headlamps.

    Horn Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  49. Horn (2) - Reposition [2x]
  50. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Intake Air Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]

  52. Radiator Air Lower Seal Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
  53. Radiator Air Lower Baffle Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]

    Front Bumper Impact Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]

    Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Remove

    Mark the location of the hood primary and secondary latch (1) with a grease pencil.

  63. Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

    Hood Primary and Secondary Latch (1) - Reposition away

  65. Release the tabs on the front bumper fascia (2) from the headlamp on both sides and reposition the upper portion of the front bumper fascia (2) away.

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer - Side (1) - Remove [2x]

    Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Remove

    Remove the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

    Disconnect the cable end retainer (1) from the latch.

  74. Release the hood primary latch release cable from the 2 retainer (2).
  75. Reposition the hood primary latch release cable.

    Body Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Engine Control Module Bracket Nut (1) - Remove

    Battery Negative Cable Ground Bolt (1) - Remove

    Slide the transmission control module and connector (1) from the bracket rear ward to reposition.

    Transmission Control Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  84. Rotate the transmission control module bracket (2) forward a quarter of turn and remove.

    Forward Lamp Wire Harness Ground Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
