Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.

    Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter (2) - Remove - Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement

    Control Valve Upper Body Bolt (1) - Remove

  5. Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Pump Outlet Pipe (2) - Remove
  6. Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Pump Outlet Pipe Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD
  7. Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Pump Seal (4) - Remove and DISCARD

    NOTE:

    The bolts are marked by arrows in the valve body casting.

    Control Valve Solenoid Body Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  9. Control Valve Solenoid Body Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD [3x]
  10. Control Valve Solenoid Body Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]

    Park Inhibitor Solenoid (1) - Remove

  12. Disconnect the main control wiring harness connector as shown.
  13. NOTE:

    The automatic transmission fluid pump seal should stay with the control valve body assembly.

    NOTE:

    Do not disassemble the control valve body assembly. The internal parts are NOT serviceable.

  14. Control Valve Body Assembly (2) - Remove
