Assemble Procedure

Apply Loctite to tube. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (1) - Install
- Balancer Shaft Housing Locating Pin (2) - Install [2x]
- Engine Block Lower Structural Extension Pin (3) - Install [2x]
- Engine Block Lower Structural Extension Core Hole Plug (4) - Install
- Engine Block Lower Structural Extension Oil Gallery Plug (5) - Install
- Engine Block Lower Structural Extension Oil Gallery Plug (6) - Install
Balancer Driven Shaft (1) - Install
- Balancer Drive Shaft (2) - Install
- Lubricate the bearings. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Balancer Shaft Bearing (3) - Install [10x]
- Balancer Shaft Bearing Cap (4) - Install
- Balancer Shaft Housing Bolt (5) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Oil Pump Gasket (1) - Install NEW
- Oil Pump (2) - Install
- Oil Pump Drive Shaft (3) - Install
- Balancer Shaft Lower Housing (4) - Install
- Oil Pump Bolt (5) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
Balancer Shaft Lower Housing (1) - Install
- Balancer Shaft Housing Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [7x] - Fastener Specifications

Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (1) - Install
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Wire Clip (3) - Install NEW [2x]
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Seal (4) - Install NEW
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Wire (5) - Install
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Bolt (6) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Engine Oil Cooler Seal (1) - Install NEW [2x]
- Oil Pan High Pressure Port Seal (2) - Install NEW
- Pins (3) is press fit and not serviceable separately.
- Lower Crankcase Extension - Install - Lower Crankcase Extension Replacement (RWD)
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
CAUTION:
Ensure the splines on the oil pump drive shaft are properly aligned to mesh into the oil pump vane rotor during oil pump drive shaft installation. Excessive force on the oil pump driveshaft during installation into the oil pump may result in damage to the oil pump vane rotor.
