Installation Procedure

    Wipe the oil pan surface with the Adhesion Plastic Pan Primer Promoter using a clean shop towel. Allow the cleaner to flash / evaporate. Wipe off the sealing surfaces with a lint free cloth. Do not touch the sealing surface after cleaning to avoid inducing containment debris to the bonding surface area. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

  2. Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
    3. NOTE:

    Do not allow sealant to skim over, the oil pan must be installed within 8 minutes of sealer application.

  3. Apply a 3 mm bead of sealant (1) around the seal bead path, as shown.

    Install EN-52483  Guide Pin in two locations to keep oil pan square and aid in alignment.

  5. Oil Pan (2) - Install
    6. NOTE:

    Install some lower oil pan bolts to secure the oil pan.

  6. Lower Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [4x]
  7. EN-52483  Guide Pins - Remove [2x]
    8. NOTE:

    Install the remaining lower oil pan bolts.

  8. Lower Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [13x]
  9. Lower Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [17x] - Fastener Specifications
  10. Lower the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  11. Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
