Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Transmission - Remove - Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive)
Install the EN-52476 Flywheel Holding Tool (1) through the starter mounting hole.
Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [8x]
- Automatic Transmission Flex Plate (2) - Remove
- CAUTION:
Do not allow the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring to come into contact with external magnetic fields or sharp metal objects. Do not drop the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring. Do not damage the rubberized encoder track. Failure to follow these precautions may cause damage to the component.
Crankshaft Position Sensor Inner Exciter Ring (1) - Remove
- Flywheel Locating Pin (2) - Remove
Crankshaft Position Sensor Bolt (1) - Remove
- Crankshaft Position Sensor (2) - Remove
Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (3) - Remove [14x]
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing (2) - Remove
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Locating Pin (1) - Remove [2x]
