Installation Procedure

    Maneuver the front brake pipe (2) into the vehicle.

  2. Remove the cap from the front brake pipe outlet.
  3. Remove the plug from the front brake hose inlet.
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Front Splash Shield (2) - Install

  7. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
  8. NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

  9. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (3) - Install [2x]

    Remove the cap from the front brake pipe inlet.

  11. Remove the plug from the brake pipe union outlet.
  12. Secure the front brake pipe to the 2 retainers (2).
  13. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  14. Install the air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger in to the engine compartment.

    Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Install NEW

  16. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install

    Retainer (1) @ Engine Control Module Bracket - Install

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Install NEW

  19. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install

    Air Conditioning Condenser Tube Clip (2) - Install

  21. Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Nut (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Clip Bracket Bolt (4) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  23. Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Seal (3) - Install NEW
  24. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (2) @ Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger - Install
  25. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Inlet Tube Seal (3) - Install NEW

  27. Air Conditioning Evaporator Outlet Tube Seal (2) - Install NEW
  28. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve - Install

    NOTE:

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Hose Nut (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (2) - Install

  31. Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Clip Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Fasten the auxiliary generator battery jumper cable (2) onto the lower air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger bracket stud.

  33. Fasten the engine harness (1) onto the air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger bracket.
  34. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  35. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
  36. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  37. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JE5) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J55) 
  38. Check for brake system leaks.
  39. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  40. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
