Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake pedal.
Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal.
Lubricate the brake master cylinder reservoir grommets with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Grommet (1) - Install NEW [3x]

Secure the master cylinder reservoir (1) into the hold down clip and lower the front of the brake master cylinder reservoir until it is in the fully installed position.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Bolt (2) - Install NEW and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Engage the brake pedal (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod by pushing inwards.
Ensure the brake pedal retainer is secured by lightly pulling rearward on the brake pedal (1).
Remove the caps from the 4 brake front pipe inlets.

Attach the hood primary latch release cable end retainer to the hood primary latch release cable handle (1).
Connect the front floor courtesy lamp electrical connector.

Install the windshield wiper system module (2) in the vehicle.

Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install
Install the air inlet grille panel (2) between both hood hinges.
Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.

Install the front compartment side sight shields (2) to both sides.

Install the hood rear outer air inlet seals (2) to both sides.

Install the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).
Remove the masking tape from the body around the top edges of the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).
Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

Clean the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms (3).
Position the windshield wiper arms (3) on the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.
Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install [2x]
Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Reprogram the brake system control module. Control Module References
Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JE5) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J55)
Check for brake system leaks.

If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
