Installation Procedure

  1. GM5404493
    CAUTION:

    Refer to: Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Spark Plug (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Ignition Coil (2) - Install

    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Ignition Coil Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  4. Connect the ignition coil electrical connector.

    Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  6. Upper Intake Manifold Cover Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  7. GM5457857

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clip (2) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (3) - Install

  8. Upper Intake Manifold Cover Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. GM5457059

    Wiring Harness (2) - Reposition

  10. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [5x]
  11. GM5432174

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  12. GM5432171

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  13. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  14. Install the oil fill cap.
