Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Diesel/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Drain the fuel enough to remove hose. Fuel Tank Draining 
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.

    Rear Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  4. Rear Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Remove
  5. GM5395767

    Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (2) - Remove [8x]

  6. Rear Bumper Fascia Screw (4) - Remove [2x]
  7. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (1) - Remove
  8. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]
  9. Rear Wheelhouse Liner (5) - Remove
  10. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  12. Fuel Tank Vent Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  13. Evaporative Emission Canister Air Inlet Hose (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    NOTE:

    Release retaining tab to remove evaporative emission canister.

    Evaporative Emission Canister (1) - Remove

  15. If replacing evaporative emission canister transfer parts as necessary.
