Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Remove the oil fill cap.

    Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (1).

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove

  5. GM5403825

    Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Fuel Pump - Disconnect - Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Exhaust Heat Shield Bolt-Left Front (1) - Remove

  8. Reposition the left front edge of exhaust intermediate underbody heat shield (2).
  9. GM5573133

    Exhaust Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]

  10. Exhaust Heat Shield Nut (2) - Remove [3x]
  11. Exhaust Front Underbody Heat Shield (3) - Remove

    Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]

  13. GM5403827

    Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  14. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Retainer (3) - Remove [4x]
  15. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) - Remove
